Yoga works on so many levels- physical, mental and emotional. The bridge that connects these faculties is our breath or Pranayama. This class works on all levels. It consists of some breath work that helps settle into the body and into the now, forming that connection with the body and mind. This is then followed by some movement, mobility, strength work to ease the body in before moving on to a vinyasa flow (asana practice) that is different for each class challenging you in different ways like your strength, balance and co-ordination. Lots of modifications offered to suit your level. Class always concludes with a long guided relaxation to help you soak it all in and reap the most benefits of the class.
Chanting is something a teacher enjoys to include in a class at the beginning and when she closes the class.
Class duration: 60-65 mins.
Pranayama/Chanting/Meditation: 15-20 mins
Vinyasa- 45-50 mins
